Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to balance deriving distance at high resolution and deriving a parallax in a close-range region. A camera comprises an imaging element and first through fourth imaging optical systems. The first imaging optical system forms a left-eye image according to a first base line length in a first region of the imaging surface of the imaging element. The second imaging optical system forms a right-eye image according to the first base line length in a second region of the imaging surface of the imaging element. The third imaging optical system forms a left-eye image according to a second base line length in a third region of the imaging surface of the imaging element. The fourth imaging optical system forms a right-eye image according to the second base line length in a fourth region of the imaging surface of the imaging element. The second base line length is less than the first base line length.
