Abstract:

Disclosed is a camshaft apparatus in which a plurality of bearings rotatably support a cam shaft (1), the bearing closest to a pulley (P) being a rolling bearing (4), and the rest of the plurality of bearings being sliding bearings (3). The rolling bearing (4) comprises a roller bearing part (5) and a ball bearing part (6). The roller bearing part (5) has a first outer ring raceway surface (51), and a plurality of tube-shaped rollers (53) which roll on the first outer ring raceway surface (51). The ball bearing part (6) is disposed adjacent to the roller bearing part (5) in the axial direction, and has a second outer ring raceway surface (61) and a plurality of balls (63) which roll on the second outer ring raceway surface (61). The first outer ring raceway surface (51) and the second outer ring raceway surface (61) are formed on an inner circumferential surface (7a) of a single outer ring (7).
