Abstract:
A can body processing method and a can body processing device are provided which, even for diameter-reduction processing in which the diameter reduction processing area is long and there is a large amount of diameter reduction, can shorten processing time without having to increase the size of the equipment. An inner tool (120) and a bottom tool (110) are moved towards the can body (K), and the inner tool (120) is inserted into an opening of the can body (K); in a state in which the relative positions of the can body (K), the inner tool (120) and the bottom tool (110) are fixed, these are moved towards an outer tool (130) and diameter-reduction processing is performed from the outer surface of the opening in the can body (K); and, in a state in which the relative positions of the inner tool (120) and the outer tool (130) are fixed, the can body (K) and the bottom tool (110) are retracted, pulling the can body out of the inner tool (120) and the outer tool (130).
