Abstract:
The present invention relates to a can lid for food or drink, the can lid being composed of an end and a tab for opening a score that is formed in the end. By forming the end and/or the tab from an aluminum alloy that contains 0.5 to 1.4% by mass of Mn, 2.0 to 4.5% by mass of Mg, 0.6% by mass or less of Si, 0.8% by mass or less of Fe, 0.25% by mass or less of Cu, 0.10% by mass or less of Cr, 0.25% by mass or less of Zn and 0.10% by mass or less of Ti, the present invention is able to provide a can lid which comprises an end and/or a tab that has adequate properties such as pressure-resisting strength required for can lids even in cases where the end and/or the tab contains a recycled aluminum alloy that uses aluminum UBC as a starting material.
