Abstract:
A Candlepad is a simple though highly efficient tool that enables you to place a candle 'firmly' in an upright position in a chandelier. The shape of the Candlepad is a mathematical figure, carved out of a flexible fabric, covered with a lair (aluminum/metal foil) that delays the flammability. The Candlepad forms together with the seat of the chandelier the cup that holds the candle. The mathematical figures are variable and the size of the Candlepad varies from 15mm to 200mm with a thickness varying from 1,5mm to 20mm. The Candlepad is made of flame-retarding, synthetic fibers that contain quarts and is covered with a lair of aluminum/metal foil that has a thickness varying from 0,01mm to 0,2mm. The materials of which the Candlepad is made are squeezable (bouncing). The color of the pad and foil are in the range of: white, green, red, yellow, brown, blue, orange and each play of colors in between is possible.

Claims:
1. Conclusions/characteristics of the candlepad Candlepad to keep the candle in an upright position in a chandelier, with the characteristic that the candlepad has a mathematical form and is at least constructed out of two lairs Candlepad according conclusion 1, with the characteristic that the candlepad is covered with a lair of flameretarding aluminum foil or metal foil.
2. Candlepad according conclusion 2, with the characteristic that the aluminum foil or metal foil has a lairthickness varying from 0,01mm to 0,2mm.
3. Candlepad according one of the aforementioned conclusions, with the characteristic that a lair of the Candlepad is made out of flameretarding and flame extmguishing synthetic fibers with quarts, the respective lair is squeezable.
4. Candlepad according one of the aforementioned conclusions, with the characteristic that the Candlepad has a mathematical form in the model of a cross.
5. Candlepad according one of the aforementioned conclusions, with the characteristic that the thickness of the candlepad can vary from 1,5mm to 20mm.
6. Candlepad according one of the aforementioned conclusions, with the characteristic that the size of the candlepad can vary from 15mm to 200mm.

A Candlepad is a simple though highly efficient tool that enables you to place a candle 'firmly' in an upright position in a chandelier. The shape of the Candlepad is a mathematical figure, carved out of a flexible fabric, covered with a lair

(aluminum/metal foil) that delays the flammability. The Candlepad forms together with the seat of the chandelier the cup that holds the candle. In the American patent US 4 036 577 A a candlepad is known in the form of a thin disk made out of polyurethane foam which is treated with flame extinguishing chemicals. There is also an old American patent US 1 647 898 that contains a candlepad in a cross-shaped form, made out of metal and of which the surface is made rough or ribbed. The figures are variable and the size of the Candlepad varies from 15mm to 200mm with a thickness varying from 1,5mm to 20mm. The Candlepad is made of flame-retarding, synthetic fibers that contain quarts and is covered with a lair of aluminum/metal foil that has a thickness varying from 0,01mm to 0,2mm (drawings 1-7). The materials of which the Candlepad is made are squeezable (bouncing).

The color of the pad and foil are in the range of: white, green, red, yellow, brown, blue, orange and each play of colors in between is possible. Drawings, final product to illustrate its operation clearly (drawings 1-7).

Methods of tests description:

Abrasivity:

To tests the abrasively of the products they use a special machine where an aluminium plate (hardening 95/105 brinell) is wet scrubbed by a round piece of fibre 20cm 2 . The loose of weight from the aluminium plate after 1000/2000/3000 rounds is the abrasivity level given in mg.

Tear and stretch:

They use a special dynamometer. The fibre put between two jaws and stretched both sides at one speed traction of 100 mm/min. and the force is given in N.

They also give the percentage of the fibre extension before the breaking point.
