Abstract:
The canister is installed in a vehicle and comprises an inflow port, an outflow port, an atmosphere port, a valve, at least one honeycomb-structured body, and a spacer. The inflow port is connected to a fuel tank of the vehicle. The outflow port is connected to an air intake passage of an internal combustion engine of the vehicle. The atmosphere port provides communication between the interior of the canister and the outside. The valve opens and closes the atmosphere port. The honeycomb-structured body is disposed in the most downstream part of a gas passage located on the upstream side of the valve, said gas passage extending from the inflow port to the atmosphere port, being capable of adsorbing and releasing evaporated fuel from the fuel tank, and having a honeycomb structure. The spacer is disposed between the valve and the honeycomb-structured body, thereby keeping a predetermined distance between the valve and the honeycomb-structured body.
