Description:
DESCRIPTION

CANVAS BALAYAGE TECHNIQUE

This invention is about canvas balayage technique that is applied in hair salons that brings application creation, aesthetics, innovation and advantages to the hair coloring processes such as hairpiece, shade line, highlights which are used to create (color transition effect) degrade in different color tones from the bottom to the end of the hair or in order to color the hair ends.

In order to color hair strands and hair ends and/or in order to create color transition effects, coloring applications such as balayage, highlights, and shade line are being applied in hair dressing saloons. In the highlighting application, middle-sized hair strands are separated and colored in a symmetrical way. Balayage application, while protection the natural situation of the hairs is a color transition. Application that is applied the entire length or only the ends of the hair. Balayage and highlighting applications can be applied with every color of dyes and/or color whitening agents. These kind of colorings aim to bring a glowing, aesthetical and plump appearance for the hair. There are several balayage techniques in known applications.

The most common application technique is the "crepe balayage" technique. In this technique generally, the hair strands to be applied with balayage are separated and every strand are prepared by reverse combing with crepe comb. Reverse combing technique with crepe comb ensures the homogeny creation of color tone transition effect across the hair. The hair strands that have been applied with crepe are separated with the help of pincers. The hair strands that are separated are packed with aluminum paper or similar material after the application of dye and/or whitener. Yet, the hair is being damaged during the application of crepe and pincer applications. Since the crepe comb holds and separates the hair strand by strand, it causes broken and worn hair. Also, aluminum paper packing increases the damage to the hair caused by substances such as hydrogen peroxide and ammoniac.

Another known common application technique is called the "daisy balayage" technique. In the daisy balayage technique, an apparatus looks like a hat open in the middle and sombrero in the sides is used. The daisy apparatus is placed to the head of the person who is going to be applied with balayage like a hat. During this application, the hair is gathered in upper position and all the hair is placed in the open part of the apparatus in the middle. The hair that is in the middle is combed to the sides of the daisy-like apparatus in the side of the outer part. Therefore the hair takes a form in the apparatus by separated evenly in the sides of the apparatus and takes a form that is suitable to application of dye or/and whitener. The time of effect is waited after the application of dye and/or whitener in desired density. During the waiting period, the daisy-like apparatus should remain in the head of the person who is being applied with balayage. Yet moving the apparatus intentionally to spread the hair evenly in the side of the daisy-lie apparatus shall be difficult for the person who is being received with the balayage application. Also, this technique can only be applied to the hair with a suitable length that is enough to be separated to the sides of the daisy-like apparatus. It is not possible to apply the daisy balayage technique to the hair, which is short or too long to spread to sides of the daisy-like apparatus

One of the other present applications is known as "ladybug balayage". In this application, the apparatus called as ladybug are used. The hair is separated in a way that is suitable for balayage with the ladybug balls for dye and whitener. Ladybug technique is used for short hair generally. Another similar application is called "half apple balayage". In half apple technique, the apparatus looks like half an apple with elastic bands are used. In this balayage technique the hair, which is applied dye or whitener is separated by wrapping them around the half apple rollers. Another technique applied with apparatuses is called "flamingo balayage". In this balayage technique, the flamingo-like apparatus with three legs in the shape of "T" on a crown is used. Flamingo apparatus is placed on the person's hair in the shape of a crown. The hair strands that have been applied dye or whitener are rested by wrapping them around the legs of the flamingo apparatus. The balayage applications that have been applied by using apparatuses mentioned above limits the creativity of the hair dresses. Because every apparatus only let the hair to be colored in certain shapes. Also, usages of these apparatuses are not suitable for all the hair types Usage of these apparatuses many times has disadvantages since the damage the hair and the difficulty of applications. With the present techniques, the application of balayage takes 1 to 3 hours of time. Wrapping the hair to rollers, usage of apparatus, packing them with aluminum foil, pincers and using the crepe extends the time of balayage. This invention is about canvas balayage technique that is applied in hair salons that brings application creation, aesthetics, innovation and advantages to the hair coloring processes such as hairpiece, shade line, highlights which are used to create (color transition effect) degrade in different color tones from the bottom to the end of the hair or in order to color the hair ends and it overcomes all the disadvantages of the aforementioned other applications and has features are that there are not any kind of apparatus, aluminum foil pack, crepe used and therefore it lets the hair dresser to make this balayage coloring by using painter brushes and by this way improving the creativity and improvisation and also enabling the creation of limitless balayage models as they are desired and therefore creation of aesthetical and artistic feelings both for hair dresser and the person who is receiving the balayage and being easy and fast for the person who is receiving the balayage application.

In this invention, the hair is used like a canvas to be painted on. The applying hairdresser applies the balayage coloring by using various painting brushes in several sizes. The dye or the whitener mixture is placed on a palette during the application. All these interactions create aesthetic and artistic feelings on the person who is receiving the balayage application. Also, this improves the creativity and improvisation skills of the applying hairdresser. Canvas balayage technique, briefly, creates the feeing of an artist (painter) and an artwork feeling (painting) on the person who is receiving the balayage. Therefore, the feelings such as aesthetic, satisfaction, self-confidence and personal satiety are occurred on the person who is receiving the balayage service.

In canvas balayage technique, the hairdresser applies the dye to the hair with various painting brushes in different sizes. This situation enables limitless balayage patterns with the canvas balayage technique. Also canvas balayage improves the creativity and improvisation skills of the applying hairdresser. Also different demands of the person who receives the balayage can be satisfied. Canvas balayage technique (short, long, with thin strands etcetera) can be applied any kind of hair.

Any kind of apparatus, aluminum foil packing; pincers and crepe are not used on the hair in canvas balayage technique. Therefore the balayage application can be done without any harm to hair. Not using any foil, roller, crown, bobby pins, pincers etcetera will make the person who is receiving the balayage comfortable during the application. Thus, the canvas balayage technique can be applied easily, fast and effectively. The canvas balayage that is applied to >

hair directly without any apparatus is applied quickly with application time of 10-12 minutes and waiting time of 10-15 minutes for drying.

This application is about the canvas balayage that brings application creativity, aesthetics, innovation and advantages in hair coloring applications such as hairpiece, shade line, highlights which are used to create (color transition effect) degrade in different color tones from the bottom to the end of the hair or in order to color the hair ends; generally; it consist of the interactions of preparing the hair for balayage with strengthening the hair with hair dryer, and getting it ready for canvas balayage technique that will be applied with painter brushes, preparation of dye and/or whitener on a pallet, application of the dye and/or whitener to hair according to the type of the balayage with painter brushes, and if necessary, waiting for the effect time of the dye.

The invention must be applied in the following way:

The hair must be prepared in a way that it is suitable for coloring with the brushes like a canvas while it was being prepared for balayage application. The hair should be straightened by using techniques such as combing and straightening by the hair dryer.

According to color and tone features of the desired balayage dye and/or whitener solutions should be prepared on the palette.

According to the features of the balayage that is desired; the dye and/or whitener must be applied on the hair by using painter brushes in various sizes. The coloring application can be applied on the end of the hair, from bottom to the end of the hair with increasing the density or any particular part of the hair.

The heat can be applied to the hair while waiting for the effect time of the dyes and/or the whiteners. Also, natural waiting without applying any heat can be done.
