Abstract:
Provided are a cap assembly of a secondary battery, and a secondary battery. The cap assembly of the secondary battery comprises: a cap plate made of an insulating plastic material and having an electrode lead-out hole; an electrode terminal comprising a terminal plate positioned at one side of the cap plate and covering the electrode lead-out hole; and a current collecting connection member comprising a first connection portion and an extension portion connected to the first connection portion, the first connection portion being positioned at one side of the cap plate away from the terminal plate and bonded to the cap plate, and the extension portion extending into the electrode lead-out hole to be connected to the electrode terminal. The invention can facilitate efficient utilization of an internal space in a housing of a secondary battery, increase an energy density of the secondary battery, simplify a structure of an electrode terminal, and achieve one or more objectives relating to improvement of processing efficiency of a secondary battery.
