A cap (10) for a bearing device, which is interposed between a circular magnet (8) fixed to the inner ring member (4a) of the bearing device (1) and a detection means (9) for detecting the magnetism generated from the circular magnet and which is for closing the open end (2a) in the axial direction of an outer ring member (2) provided outside of the inner ring member in the radial direction. The cap is characterized in: being provided with a first cylindrical section (11) that is press-fitted and fixed in said open end, an extension section (12) extending radially inward from the first cylindrical section, a second cylindrical section (13) extending from the extension section on the side opposite to the first cylindrical section and having a smaller diameter than the first cylindrical section, and a round disc section (14), which extends further inward radially from the second cylindrical section and is interposed between the circular magnet and the detection means; and in the second cylindrical section being formed so that the length thereof in the axial direction is a length that allows flexural deformation in the radially inward direction.
