Abstract:
This capacitance detection device is provided with: a first electrode (1) and a second electrode (2), which at least partially face each other, while having a conveyance path (5) sandwiched therebetween, said conveyance path (5) extending in the conveyance direction in which a sheet-like detection object (3) is conveyed; an oscillation circuit which generates an electric field (9) between the first electrode (1) and the second electrode (2); a detection circuit which detects a change of the capacitance between the first electrode (1) and the second electrode (2); a first substrate (11) and a second substrate (12), on which at least one of the oscillation circuit and the detection circuit is formed; an insulating first flat plate (6) which is formed between the first electrode (1) and the conveyance path (5); and an insulating second flat plate (7) which is formed between the second electrode (2) and the conveyance path (5).
