Abstract:
This capacitance sensor comprises: a switch control unit that carries out a first switching process in which a first switch connected to a first capacitor is turned on and then repeatedly carries out a second switching process in which the first switch is turned off and a second and third switch respectively connected to a second and third capacitor are switched off and on in a complementary manner; a derivation unit for deriving, as a sensor output value, the number of repetitions of the second switching process until the size relationship between an intermediate potential and reference potential is inverted; a calculation unit for calculating a corrected sensor output value obtained by correcting the sensor output value so as to achieve a uniform resolution; and a determination unit for determining whether an object to be detected is present on the basis of the size relationship between a sensor output difference value and determination threshold.
