Abstract:
Provided is a capacitive button that can improve tolerance to electrostatic discharges. This capacitive button comprises: a side-by-side pair of sensor electrodes; a floating electrode disposed in front of the pair of sensor electrodes with an insulating film therebetween; and a ground electrode that is disposed so as to surround the floating electrode and that is grounded without being in electrical contact with the pair of sensor electrodes or the floating electrode. Due to this configuration, the tolerance of the capacitive button to electrostatic discharges can be improved.
