Abstract:
A capacitive operating device is provided with: an operation plate (10) that forms operation faces (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16) to be touch-operated by an operation body (F); a touch determination unit (46) that determines that a touch operation, in which the operation body makes contact with an operation face, or a separation operation, in which the operation body in contact with the operation face separates from the operation face, has been conducted; electrodes (21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26) that are located on the opposite side of the operation faces to the operation body; a detecting unit (41) that obtains a detection value corresponding to a variation in capacitance which occurs between the operation body and the electrodes; and a sudden change determination unit (42) that determines whether, in a changing period (Tup, Tdw) during which the rate of change (V1, V2, V3, V4) of the detection value is a predetermined rate (Vth) or more, a sudden change phenomenon in which the variation in the rate of change per unit time becomes a predetermined variation (ΔVth) or more has occurred. The touch determination unit determines that the touch operation or separation operation has been conducted, on condition that the sudden change determination unit has determined that the sudden change phenomenon has occurred.
