Abstract:
Disclosed is a capacitor capacity diagnosis device (1) provided with: a power source (3) for charging a capacitor (2); a discharge circuit (4) for the capacitor (2) to discharge the energy therein, connected in parallel with the capacitor (2); a resistance voltage-divider circuit (5) for measuring the voltage drop when discharging; a measurement circuit (6) that measures the divided voltage; and a diagnosis circuit (7) that evaluates the capacity of the capacitor from voltage changes over time due to discharging. This makes it possible to determine whether the capacity of a capacitor in in-use power equipment is acceptable.
