Abstract:
The present invention achieves an electrolytic capacitor with a decreased ESR by using a capacitor element provided with: an anode body having a porous region on the surface thereof; a dielectric layer covering at least a portion of the anode body; and a cathode layer covering at least a portion of the dielectric layer, wherein the anode body has an anode section and a cathode forming section which is adjacent to the anode section and in which the cathode layer is formed, a thin region which is thinner than the porous region in the cathode forming section is formed in at least a portion of the porous region of the anode section, a metal base material is layered on at least a portion of the thin region, and the metal base material is denser than the porous region in the cathode forming section.
