Abstract:
Provided is a capacitor and a method of manufacturing thereof, wherein the capacitance value thereof can be improved without sacrificing the breakdown voltage thereof, or wherein the breakdown voltage thereof can be improved without sacrificing the capacitance value thereof. The capacitor (10) comprises a porous dielectric layer (14) obtained by anodic oxidation of metal; cylindrical electrodes (16) filled into the holes; a first external electrode (18) that is formed on one of the main faces of the dielectric layer (14), and that is made to be conductive to a portion of the cylindrical electrodes (16); and second external electrodes (20A, 20B) that are formed on the other of the main faces of the dielectric layer (14), and that are made to be conductive to cylindrical electrodes (16) that were not made to be conductive to the first external electrode (18). The second external electrodes (20A, 20B) are arranged so as to be electrically segregated from each other.
