Abstract:

The objective of the present invention is to significantly improve the ability to discharge a liquid refrigerant in a control chamber when a variable-capacity compressor begins to operate, by moving a center post when the liquid refrigerant is discharged and thereby increasing the area of a passage for discharging the liquid refrigerant. The present invention is characterized by being equipped with a first valve chamber formed part way along the length of discharge-side passages (31, 32, 33), intake-side passages (33, 32, 34) connecting the control chamber and an intake chamber that draws in the liquid, a second valve chamber (36) and a third valve chamber (38) formed part way along the length of the intake-side passages, and a solenoid (60) that exerts electromagnetic driving force for controlling a valve body (40), with an intake-side passage opening/closing means having a third valve part (43), which receives the control chamber pressure by means of the third valve chamber (38), thereby opening/closing the intake-side passages (33, 32, 34), and having a second valve part (42), which receives electromagnetic driving force by means of the second valve chamber (36), thereby opening/closing the intake-side passages, and one end surface of a center post (64), which is a structural member of the solenoid, being provided so as to be capable of moving freely in the axial direction so as to oppose the second valve part (42), and with the center post (64) being driven in the direction of separation from the second valve part (42) and thereby increasing the interval with respect to the second valve part (42) when the liquid refrigerant is discharged.
