Abstract:

A composition which gives a residual carbon yield which is substantially positive after burning and a metal or metalloid compound are mixed, and the resulting mixture is burned under a pressure of 1 x 10?-2¿ Pa or less and at a temperature of 1500 to 2200 °C, to thereby perform carbonization and, at the same time, remove impurity elements which adversely affect an objective heating unit.
