Abstract:
Provided is a novel carbon dioxide fixation device. A carbon dioxide fixation device (4) according to the present invention comprises a carbon dioxide fixation reagent solution preparation unit (41) and a carbon dioxide fixation unit (42), wherein: the carbon dioxide fixation reagent solution preparation unit (41) includes a seawater supply part (411) and an electrolysis part (412), the seawater supply part (411) supplies seawater to the electrolysis part (412), the seawater contains sodium chloride and at least one chloride among a chloride of a Group 2 element and a chloride of a divalent metal element, and the electrolysis part (412) electrolyzes the seawater to prepare a carbon dioxide fixation reagent solution containing sodium hydroxide and at least one chloride among a chloride of a Group 2 element and a chloride of a divalent metal element; and the carbon dioxide fixation unit (42) includes a gas supply part (421) and a carbon dioxide fixation reaction part (422), the gas supply part (421) supplies carbon dioxide-containing gas to the carbon dioxide fixation reaction part (422), and the carbon dioxide fixation reaction part (422) fixes the carbon dioxide by bringing the carbon dioxide fixation reagent solution into contact with the carbon dioxide-containing gas.
