This carbon dioxide recovery system for recovering carbon dioxide from an exhaust gas that is generated in a facility comprising a combustion device is provided with: a first exhaust gas channel in which the exhaust gas containing the carbon dioxide flows; a fuel cell which comprises an anode, a cathode that is provided on the first exhaust gas channel so that the exhaust gas is supplied thereto from the first exhaust gas channel, and an electrolyte that is configured so as to transfer carbonate ions, which are derived from the carbon dioxide contained in the exhaust gas from the first exhaust gas channel, from the cathode to the anode; and a second exhaust gas channel which is branched from the first exhaust gas channel in the upstream of the cathode so as to bypass the cathode. Consequently, this carbon dioxide recovery system is configured such that some of the exhaust gas is led to the second exhaust gas channel.
