Title:
CARBON FIBER BASE MATERIAL AND CARBON FIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/077087
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a carbon fiber base material for use in carbon fiber reinforced plastic and formed by mutually intersecting warps and wefts of carbon fiber multi-filament yarn, wherein a carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) having exceptional strength and improved peel strength between layers of CFRP (interlayer shear strength) is characterized in that at least one of the layer faces has a nap formed by cutting some of the filaments of the carbon fiber multi-filament yarn, and the total length of the nap formed by the warp is not equal to the total length of the nap formed by the weft.
