Abstract:
[Solution] A carbon fiber bundle in which the relationship between a crystallite size Lc (nm), a single fiber compressive strength Fc (GPa) measured by a single fiber composite compression fragmentation method, and an initial elastic modulus E0 (GPa) in resin-impregnated strand tensile testing simultaneously satisfies formulae (1) to (3), and Lc is at most 4.00 nm: (1) Fc ≥ 1.3 × 10 / Lc - 0.3; (2) E0 ≤ 80 × Lc + 155; and (3) E0 ≥ 330. The present invention provides: a carbon fiber bundle having an excellent tensile elastic modulus and compressive strength in a carbon-fiber-reinforced composite material; and a manufacturing method therefor.
