Abstract:
According to one embodiment of the present invention, a carbon fiber manufacturing apparatus manufactures a carbon fiber from a carbon fiber precursor by supplying an oxygen radical to the carbon fiber precursor so as to induce the oxidative stabilization of a polymer constituting the carbon fiber precursor, and can comprise: a heating part for supplying the heat necessary for the oxidative stabilization of the carbon fiber precursor; and a plasma generation part for converting oxygen in the air into in an oxygen radical state, thereby allowing the carbon fiber precursor to be oxidatively stabilized by means of an oxygen radical so as to become a carbon fiber.
