Abstract:
The present invention provides: a carbon-fiber-reinforced composite material having exceptional tackiness as well as compatibility and interfacial adhesiveness with epoxy resins, the carbon-fiber-reinforced composite material being capable of realizing high mechanical strength; and a method for producing a carbon-fiber-reinforced composite material. The present invention is a carbon-fiber-reinforced composite material containing carbon fibers, an epoxy resin, a curing agent, and a polyvinyl acetal resin, wherein the polyvinyl acetal resin contains structural units represented by formula (1), and R1 in formula (1) is a C1 or higher alkyl group. In formula (1), R1 may be the same or different.
