Abstract:
The present invention includes the steps of: forming a carbon fiber-reinforced carbon structure block by pressuring, thermally curing, and carbonizing a mixed powder containing a carbon fiber, a resin, and graphite; forming a carbon fiber-reinforced carbon molded body having a hollow portion inside by performing a shaping process on the carbon fiber-reinforced carbon structure block; and impregnating the carbon fiber-reinforced carbon molded body (10S) with silicon by dipping the carbon fiber-reinforced carbon molded body (10S) in a silicon melt (50M) with an inner wall of at least a small hollow (16) that is a small diameter portion of the hollow portion (14) blocked by inserting a core (30) made of a high melting point material having a melting point of 1500 °C or more into the hollow portion (14) of the carbon fiber-reinforced carbon molded body (10S).
