Title:
CARBON MONOXIDE SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2001/025777
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A carbon monoxide sensor with fast response, which prevents the gas to be detected from leaking into the atmosphere. The sensor comprises a proton conduction electrolyte film, two electrodes provided on the two sides of the proton conduction electrolyte film, a positive collector plate having a gas channel (67) with inlet and outlet and being in contact with the surface of one of the electrodes, a negative collector plate having a plurality of holes in contact with the surface of the other electrode, a DC power supply connected so that the positive collector plate may act as a positive plate and the negative collector plate may act as a negative plate, and current detection means for detecting current which varies depending on the concentration of carbon monoxide gas in hydrogen-containing gas to be detected that flows in the gas channel.
