Abstract:
These carbon nanofibers have an acid content controlled to 8-20 mass% and excellent dispersion in a polar solvent, as a result of oxidation treatment of a carbon nanofiber raw material. The oxidation treatment preferably uses a mixed acid of nitric acid and sulfuric acid having a nitric acid concentration ratio of 10-30 mass%, and is performed at 100°C or higher. This carbon nanofiber dispersion liquid comprises the carbon nanofibers dispersed in the polar solvent, and this carbon nanofiber composition includes the dispersion liquid and a binder component.
