Abstract:
 The purpose of the present invention is to overcome the problem of low tumor accumulation of boron in a boron formulation used in conventional boron neutron capture therapy, and to provide a boron formulation having high boron tumor accumulation; using carbon nanohorns for encapsulating a boron compound (BN-CNH) as the active ingredient of a boron neutron capture therapy formulation makes it possible to deliver the boron compound selectively to the tumor cells and to raise the boron tumor accumulation. This BN-CNH is preferably produced using ammonia borane as a raw material by heating together with carbon nanohorns.
