Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a carbon nanotube composite wire, wherein the same or a higher conductivity, as well as excellent handling properties and further weight reduction can be achieved compared to a wire rod composed mainly of a metal core made of copper, aluminum, or the like. A CNT composite wire (1) is formed by twisting a plurality of CNT wire rods (10), each of which is obtained by bundling a plurality of CNT aggregates (11) that are each composed of a plurality of CNTs (11a). At least one among the twist number t1 of the CNT wire rod (10) and the twist number t2 of the CNT composite wire (2) is at least 2500 T/m; the twist number t1 of the CNT wire rod (10) is at least 1000 T/m and less than 2500 T/m, and the twist number t2 of the CNT composite wire (2) is at least 500 T/m and less than 2500 T/m; or the twist number t1 of the CNT wire rod (10) is at least 500 T/m and less than 1000 T/m, and the twist number t2 of the CNT composite wire (2) is at least 1000 T/m and less than 2500 T/m.
