Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a carbon nanotube separation method and separation device wherein a carbon nanotube mixture can be separated using a highly efficient, low-cost, and simple method. The present invention pertains to a carbon nanotube separation method including: a step for preparing a dispersion containing a mixture of two types of carbon nanotubes having different zeta potentials; a step for introducing the dispersion into a flow path formed between a first electrode, having a hole through which the dispersion can pass, and a second electrode disposed so as to face the first electrode; a step for applying a DC voltage to the first electrode and the second electrode while the dispersion is flowing through the flow path; and a step for continuously recovering, from the opposite side of the flow path with the first electrode interposed therebetween, a dispersion containing carbon nanotubes that have been separated, by application of the voltage, on the first electrode side, and simultaneously continuously recovering, from the downstream side of the flow path, carbon nanotubes that have been separated on the second electrode side.
