Title:
CARBONACEOUS MATERIAL FOR ELECTRIC DOUBLE LAYER CAPACITORS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/092721
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides: a carbonaceous material for electric double layer capacitors, which is effective for improvement of durability and improvement of withstand voltage; and a method for producing this carbonaceous material for electric double layer capacitors. The present invention relates to a carbonaceous material for electric double layer capacitors, which is based on a plant-derived carbon precursor, and which is configured such that: the BET specific surface area thereof is 1,900-2,500 m2/g; the average pore diameter thereof as calculated by a nitrogen adsorption method is 2.2-2.6 nm; the pore volume of micropores having pore diameters of 2 nm or less as determined by an MP method is 0.84-1.30 cm3/g; the ratio of the pore volume of micropores having pore diameters of 1-2 nm to the pore volume of micropores having pore diameters of 2 nm or less as determined by an MP method is 25-50%; and the pore volume of mesopores having pore diameters of 2-50 nm as determined by a BJH method is 0.16-0.4 cm3/g.
