Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a carbonaceous material having a high capacitance and used in an electric double layer capacitor capable of maintaining a high capacitance and a high energy density over a long period of time; and a method for manufacturing the same. Provided is a carbonaceous material having a BET specific surface area of 1,200 m2/g-1,800 m2/g, an R value in a Raman spectrum of 1.2 or more, and a G band half value width of 70 cm-1or more.
