Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a carbonate production apparatus and a carbonate production method, whereby it becomes possible to produce a carbonate from a solution containing carbon dioxide and alkaline earth metal ions with a reduced energy compared with that required for the concentration by evaporation while heating. For solving the problem, a carbonate production apparatus and a carbonate production method are provided, in which the carbon production apparatus is characterized by being provided with a concentration unit for concentrating water of interest that contains carbon dioxide and alkaline earth metal ions by permeation using a semi-permeable membrane. According to this configuration, it becomes possible to produce a carbonate from a solution containing carbon dioxide and alkaline earth metal ions with a reduced energy compared with that required for the concentration by evaporation while heating.
