Abstract:
[Problem] The present invention relates to a carbonization furnace capable of processing organic waste by carbonizing the organic waste using heat, without producing harmful substances, such as dioxin, or smoke, odor, carbon dioxide and the like. Particularly, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a carbonization furnace that has far higher efficiency than conventional carbonization furnaces and superior maintainability. [Solution] A carbonization furnace 1 is provided with an exhaust path 4 through which an exhaust gas generated from the inside of a furnace body 2 passes. The exhaust path 4 is configured from: an inlet 12 serving as an entry for the exhaust gas; an outlet 13 serving as an exit for the exhaust gas; a heat transfer portion 14 through which the exhaust gas flows between the inlet 12 and the outlet 13; a resupply port 15 for sending the exhaust gas that has passed through the heat transfer portion 14 back into the furnace body; and a diverting portion which is disposed between the heat transfer portion 14 and the outlet 13 and the resupply port 15 to divide and send the exhaust gas that has passed through the heat transfer portion 14 to both the outlet 13 and the resupply port 15.
