Abstract:
The present invention provides a carburized bearing component which has excellent flaking life associated with the structure change in a hydrogen-generating environment. This carburized bearing component has a core part that has a chemical composition containing, in mass%, from 0.25% to 0.45% of C, from 0.10% to 0.50% of Si, from 0.40% to 0.70% of Mn, 0.015% or less of P, 0.005% or less of S, from 0.80% to 1.50% of Cr, from 0.17% to 0.30% of Mo, from 0.24% to 0.40% of V, from 0.005% to 0.100% of Al, 0.0300% or less of N and 0.0015% or less of O, with the balance being made up of Fe and impurities, while satisfying formula (1) to formula (4) set forth in the description. The ratio of the total area of CaO-CaS-MgO-Al2O3 composite oxides relative to the total area of oxides in the carburized bearing component is 30.0% or more; and the population of oxides having a circle-equivalent diameter of 20.0 μm or more is 15.0 or less per mm2.
