Abstract:
Disclosed is a metal material carburized within a low temperature range where a crystal grain hardly grows without using expensive equipment. Also disclosed is a method for producing such a carburized metal material. Specifically disclosed is a metal material (10) mainly composed of iron whose surface layer (2) is carburized by a process using a fullerene as a carbon source.
