Abstract:
The present invention relates to a card connector for receiving a card such as a memory card or a subscriber identity module (SIM) card and, particularly, to a card connector having an elastic switch for detecting, through a wiping operation, whether a card is inserted into the card connector. The card connector of the present invention comprises: a first elastic switch (140) having a curved contact terminal (142) and performing a wiping operation while being pushed by a card inserted into the card connector; a second elastic switch (150) having a curved contact terminal (151) formed to face the curved contact terminal of the first elastic switch and kept in elastic contact with the curved contact terminal of the first elastic switch until a card is completely inserted into the card connector; and a stopper (160) which restrains the curved contact terminal of the first elastic switch, released from contact with the second elastic switch, from moving to the second elastic switch side over a predetermined range when a card is completely inserted into the card connector.
