Provided is a card edge connector that makes it possible to minimize minute sliding of a contact section between a circuit substrate and a terminal fitting and thereby improve connection reliability. The card edge connector comprises a first connector (F) having a circuit substrate (11) provided thereto and a second connector (S) having a terminal fitting (20) provided thereto. An elastic contact section (23) that can be brought into contact with the circuit substrate (11) is provided to the front of the terminal fitting (20). A substrate accommodation section (31) in which the circuit substrate (11) is accommodated during regular fitting is formed in a second housing (H). The second housing (H) comprises a terminal holding section (30) for holding the front of the terminal fitting (20) and a housing main body (40) for holding the rear of the terminal fitting (20) so that the elastic contact section (23) faces the substrate accommodation section (31). A front surface (14) of a first housing (10) in the fitting direction with the second housing (H) is in contact with the housing main body (40) while the first connector (F) and the second connector (S) are in a regular fitting state.
