Abstract:
A card edge connector (1) is provided with: a housing (11); a hood (10) that is attached to an edge of a circuit substrate (S) and that fits to the housing (11); a connection terminal (12) that is attached to the housing (11) and that has an elastic contact piece (12G) which is in contact with a surface of the circuit substrate (S) and has a pressure receiving part (12F) which is pressed and displaces the elastic contact piece (12G) on the surface of the circuit substrate (S); and a pressure keeping member (13) that is attached to the housing (11) and that has a pressing part (13D) for pressing the pressure receiving part (12F). The hood (10) has a slant section (10E) along which the pressure keeping member (13) is displaced such that as the fitting of the hood (10) to the housing (11) progresses, the press stroke of the pressing part (13D) toward the pressure receiving part (12F) increases. As the press stroke increases, the elastic contact piece (12G) is displaced toward a substrate accommodation part (11D) where the circuit substrate (S) is accommodated, and comes into contact with the surface of the circuit substrate (S) while pressing the surface of the circuit substrate (S).
