Abstract:
Provided is a method for controlling a card-printing device in which the configuration of the card-printing device can be simplified while the print image printed on a card is prevented from readily being acquired from an ink separation mark remaining on a used ink ribbon. A method for controlling a card-printing device provided with a card transportation mechanism for transporting cards, and a printing mechanism for transferring ink on an ink ribbon onto cards to perform printing is provided with: an image division step (S1) for dividing the print image to be printed on a card into a plurality of divided images in the direction in which the card is transported; an arrangement sequence reordering step (S2) for reordering the sequence in which the divided images are arranged in the direction in which the card is transported; and printing steps (S3-S8) for controlling the card transportation mechanism and causing the card to move forwards and backwards so that the divided images are printed on the card according to the reordered arrangement sequence and so that the divided images arranged in the arrangement sequence prior to reordering are printed on the card, and then printing on the card using the printing mechanism.
