Abstract:
Provided is a card-processing device that: has a function for printing on both sides of a card; and can be reduced in size while still ensuring card-printing quality. In this card-processing device, a card-flipping unit that flips a card 2 front/back comprises: a card-holding part 43 that temporarily holds the card 2; and a rotation mechanism that makes the card-holding part 43 rotate, the axial direction of rotation being a Y direction. A card 2 transport path 47 that is formed inside the card-holding part 43 is a straight line as seen from the Y direction. A drive roller 48 and a pad roller 49 are respectively arranged on either end side of the transport path 47. When the card-processing device is transporting the card 2 to an X2-direction side and printing on the card 2 by means of a thermal head 26, the card-holding part 43 rotates such that the transport path 47 as seen from the Y direction is inclined with respect to an X direction.
