Abstract:
Disclosed is a control method of a card-shaped medium processing device capable of detecting an anomaly of a detection means for detecting insertion of a card-shaped medium. Specifically, a card-shaped medium processing device is controlled by a control method that is provided with a first determination step (S1) for determining whether or not insertion of a card-shaped medium has been detected by a first detection means for detecting insertion of the card-shaped medium; a second determination step (S6) for determining whether or not insertion of the card-shaped medium has been detected by a second detection means placed beyond the first detection means in an insertion direction of the card-shaped medium for detecting insertion of the card-shaped medium; and a processing step (S9) for performing predetermined processing assuming that an anomaly has occurred in the first detection means when insertion of the card-shaped medium is detected at the second determination step (S6) without detection of insertion of the card-shaped medium at the first determination step (S1).
