Abstract:
Provided are a cardinality estimation method and apparatus. The method comprises: selecting a target model type from multiple model types according to a target distribution feature and mapping relationship information, the mapping relationship information comprising a mapping relationship between the multiple model types and known distribution features, and the target distribution feature being extracted from sample data collected on the basis of an analysis instruction (S201); and according to the target model type, obtaining a target model corresponding to the target model type, the target model being used to execute cardinality estimation on a query instruction of a database (S202).
