Abstract:
According to an embodiment, this cargo handling machine is provided with: a picking unit; a first sensor that detects the entrance of a person into a first area; a second sensor that detects the entrance of a person into a second area; a first blocking unit that blocks off the picking unit from the second area; a second blocking unit that blocks off the picking unit from the first area; and a control unit that activates the first sensor, deactivates the second sensor, and permits the picking unit to operate in the first area when the picking unit is blocked by the first blocking unit, and that activates the second sensor, deactivates the first sensor, and permits the picking unit to operate in the second area when the picking unit is blocked by the second blocking unit.
