Abstract:
A carpet comprising piles (2) provided on the upper face a base fabric (3) and a backing layer (4) formed below the lower face of the base fabric, wherein an allergen-reducing agent (10) is adhered to at least a part of an area (X) ranging from the upper face (3a) of the base fabric (3) to the pile foot. Owing to this construction, allergens such as mites entering the carpet, dead mites and pollen can be efficiently inactivated and the amount of allergens in the carpet can be lowered.
