Abstract:
In order to provide a carpet with high flame retardancy, the carpet is provided with i) a pile layer, ii) a surface layer formed from a base fabric layer containing non-melting fibers A which have a high-temperature shrinkage ratio of less than or equal to 3% and a thermal conductivity in conformance with ISO 22007-3 (2008) of less than or equal to 0.060 W/m*K and carbonized thermoplastic fibers B which have a LOI value in conformance with JIS K 7201-2 (2007) of greater than or equal to 25; and iii) a backing layer.
