Abstract:
A carrier-enclosing transformable container that by holding a carrier to which
various substances, such as biosubstances, are bound or can be bound in its approximately
stationary state in a transformable container, realizes the efficiency enhancement,
speeding up and facilitation of processing, such as handling or measuring, of
such a carrier; an apparatus for processing such a carrier-enclosing transformable
container; and a method of processing such a carrier-enclosing transformable
container. The carrier-enclosing transformable container comprises an accommodation
part capable of accommodating liquid or gas in its interior surrounded by a wall
face, this wall face in its partial region having a transformable wall face capable
of attaining a given transformation with substantially no change of the whole
inside surface area; an orifice part communicating with the accommodation part,
this orifice part permitting the inflow or outflow of liquid suction introduced
or discharged by the expansion or contraction of the interior brought about by
the transformation of the transformable wall face; and a carrier enclosed in
its approximately stationary state within the accommodation part, the carrier
being one to which given substances are bound or can be bound.
