Abstract:
The present invention provides devices and methods for controlling positioning of a payload (37) on an unmanned aerial vehicle. A carrier (36) as described herein may provide movement of a payload (37) relative to a central body (31) or one or more propulsion units (33) of the unmanned aerial vehicle. The payload (37) may move above and below the central body (31) or the one or more propulsion units (33). The carrier (36)may comprise one or more guides (361,362), first actuator (381) and a second actuator (382). The first actuator (381) may permit the payload (37) to translate with respect to the one or more guides (361,362), and the second actuator (382) may permit the payload (37) to rotate about one or more axes of rotation with respect to the one or more guides (361,362). Therefore, the positioning of the payload (37) may be well controlled, and movability and maneuverability of the payload (37) may be increased.
