Abstract:
Aspects of the disclosure relate to an article retention device, a carrier for packaging a plurality of articles and to a blank for forming the carrier. The carrier comprises a plurality of panels including a bottom panel. The plurality of panels form walls of a tubular structure. The carrier comprises an article retention device. The article retention device comprise an anchor tab for engaging with an article. The article retention device comprises at least one protection flap for protecting the article. The anchor tab and the at least one protection flap partially define an opening in at least one wall of the carrier. A portion of the article may protrude through the opening. The anchor tab is hingedly connected to the bottom panel along a fold line. The anchor tab extends from the fold line to a free end edge thereof. The at least one protection flap is spaced apart from at least a medial portion of the free end edge of the anchor tab when the carrier is in the blank form.
