Abstract:
A library device wherein a cartridge magazine which can store a plurality of cartridges and which can be inserted into or removed from the library device, is provided with a keylock mechanism by which removal of the cartridge can be prevented by a key; a removal locking mechanism for the key and the cartridge magazine is provided in the library device; and when the keylocked cartridge magazine is loaded in the library device, the key is operated by a robot in the library device to release the keylock of the cartridge magazine and to lock the removal of the cartridge magazine from the library device.
